What Is Specialty Coffee?

Specialty coffee is coffee that has been graded to recognised industry standards, typically scoring 80 points or higher out of 100. It reflects greater attention to sourcing, processing, roasting, and overall cup quality.

From farm to cup, every stage is managed with greater care to produce a cleaner, more consistent, and more flavourful coffee experience.

Roast Levels

Not all coffee is roasted the same way. Different roast levels influence flavour, body, acidity, and sweetness.

Light Roast

Brighter acidity and more pronounced origin characteristics.

Medium Roast

Balanced sweetness, body, and flavour complexity.

Dark Roast

Bolder flavours, fuller body, and lower perceived acidity.

Brewing Methods

The best brewing method is the one that suits your taste and routine.

Cafetière (French Press)

Produces a rich, full-bodied cup with plenty of character.

Filter Coffee

Clean, smooth, and ideal for highlighting flavour notes.

Pour Over

Offers excellent clarity and control over extraction.

Espresso

Concentrated, intense, and the foundation of many milk-based drinks.

Coffee Origins

Coffee grown in different regions develops unique flavour characteristics.

Brazil

Chocolate, nuts, and caramel sweetness.

Colombia

Balanced acidity with fruit and caramel notes.

Peru

Smooth, sweet, and often slightly nutty.

Ethiopia

Floral, fruity, and complex.

Freshness Matters

Coffee is at its best when stored properly.

For the best experience:

• Store in a cool, dry place

• Keep sealed between uses

• Avoid refrigeration

• Grind only what you need when possible

What Sets Our Coffee Apart

We work exclusively with specialty-grade coffee sourced from farms chosen for quality, transparency, and responsible practices. Every coffee we offer is selected to meet recognised industry standards, delivering greater consistency, traceability, and flavour.

Certified B Corp Roasting

Our roasting partner is a certified B Corp, independently verified for ethical and sustainable practices. That matters to us because it means standards are measured, not claimed.

Environmentally Responsible Roasting

Used coffee grounds are repurposed as a renewable fuel to power future roasting. Less waste. Lower emissions. No reliance on fossil fuels.

Roasted Fresh. Shipped Direct.

Coffee is roasted to order and shipped directly from the roastery, helping ensure every bag arrives fresh and ready to brew.

Why We Don’t Roast In-House

  • Doing things properly doesn't mean doing everything yourself.
  • We work with experienced roasting partners who meet the standards we expect for quality, sustainability, and consistency.
  • That allows us to focus on sourcing exceptional coffee while ensuring every roast is produced to the highest standard.
