Straight answers about the coffee, the delivery and where the money goes. If your question is not here, email support@r2bean2.com and a human will answer it.
We ship coffee to the United Kingdom and the United States. Outside the UK and US, standard shipping is not available. International is bulk only, so email sales@r2bean2.com with what you need and we will quote you.
Coffee is roasted on demand. UK orders ship the next working day, Monday to Friday, with an 11am cut-off. US orders dispatch within 3 to 5 business days. We do not roast or dispatch at weekends or on public holidays.
Once dispatched, delivery normally takes 3 to 5 business days. Tracking is provided either way.
UK delivery starts at £4.95 and US delivery starts at $4.95. Delivery is free on UK orders over £65.
Coffee and made-to-order merch are fulfilled by different partners, so they travel separately. You are only charged shipping once at checkout, never twice.
Every T-shirt, hoodie, polo and hat is made to order rather than pulled off a shelf. Allow 7 to 10 working days for delivery. Tracking is provided.
Yes. Tracking details are emailed to you as each parcel ships.
On demand, after you order, then sent straight from the roastery. It does not sit in a warehouse or wait on a shelf for you to find it.
In the UK, 250g and 1kg bags. In the US, 12oz bags, plus four of our coffees in 12 packs of single use cups: Dawn Patrol, Airborne Brew, Dark Lord Reserve and Safe Grounds. The sizes available for each coffee are shown on its own page.
Whole Bean if you grind at home. Standard for filter, cafetière, pour over and drip machines. Espresso for espresso machines and moka pots.
The grind options differ by coffee and by market, and they are always listed on the product page, so check there for the one you are buying. Single use cups come ready ground and need no choice at all.
Start medium. Dawn Patrol and Safe Grounds are smooth black and dependable with milk. If you take it strong, go for Airborne Brew or Blackout Blend. If you want to taste one farm rather than a blend, try The Smuggler's Stash from Brazil, The Rebel's Roast from Colombia, or Rescue Blend from Uganda.
Yes. Lights Out Decaf is 100% Arabica, naturally decaffeinated with no chemicals, and it still drinks like proper coffee. The UK version is a dark roast from Central America using the Mountain Water Process. The US version is a medium roast from Peru using the Swiss Water process.
Yes. We work exclusively with speciality-grade coffee, sourced from farms chosen for transparency, fairness and quality. No filler.
No, and that is deliberate. We roast with a certified B Corp partner whose standards are independently verified rather than self-declared. Their system runs on repurposed used coffee grounds instead of fossil fuel, which cuts waste and emissions. Doing things properly does not mean doing everything yourself.
Airtight, somewhere cool and dark, away from the oven and the window. Not in the fridge. Buy what you will drink over the next few weeks rather than stockpiling. The whole point of roasting on demand is that you drink it fresh.
Yes, on any of our coffee, in both the UK and the US. Two options at the product page:
Fortnightly, delivered every two weeks, with 8% off every order.
Monthly, delivered every month, with 6% off every order.
Each delivery is roasted on demand the same as a one-off order. Merch is not available on subscription.
Because 20% of every Safe Grounds sale goes to the charity, and a subscription discount would come out of that. So Safe Grounds has its own plan, delivered monthly at the full price, which keeps the giveback intact.
You are not paying more. You are choosing not to take the saving so the donation stays whole.
Yes. Manage it from your account on the site: skip a delivery, change the frequency, or cancel outright.
Do it at least 48 hours before your next renewal date, otherwise the change applies from the following cycle. Cancelling stops future deliveries. Orders already processed or dispatched are not refunded.
Yes. R2Bean2 Coffee Ltd was founded by Rohan after 24 years of service, in the Parachute Regiment. It is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and holds the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award. It is not a licensing deal and not a badge bought in.
It depends on the bag, and we will be specific rather than vague about it.
In the UK, 20% of every Safe Grounds sale goes directly to The BLOCK Armed Forces Foundation, with a target of £5,000 raised. Reset Roast gives £2 from every 250g bag and £5 from every 1kg bag to Embers Woodcraft.
In the US, 20% of every Safe Grounds bag is committed to a veteran cause in the same way. Our US partner is changing, and we will name the new one here as soon as it is confirmed.
Every other coffee on the site funds the business itself, which is what keeps the giving coffees possible in the first place.
Rescue Blend works differently. It was created with the Institute of Search and Technical Rescue and carries their name with their blessing, so it is a collaboration rather than a giving coffee. There is no per-bag donation on it.
What happens instead is that we supply the coffee for the Institute's London seminars, and Institute members get a standing discount on the range.
No, and this is not a charity front. R2Bean2 is a business. The idea is that a purchase you were going to make anyway puts steady, repeatable money behind people who are already doing good work, instead of that work depending on one-off appeals.
No. Coffee is roasted on demand and, for hygiene and freshness reasons, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once it has been delivered. Please double-check your grind and quantity before you order. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Made-to-order merch is produced specifically for your order, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind or the wrong size. Check the size guide before you order. If your item arrives misprinted, damaged or defective, contact us and we will make it right.
Email support@r2bean2.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item and the packaging. We will arrange a replacement or a refund.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and are usually processed within 10 business days of approval. Your bank or card provider may take a little longer to post the funds.
Yes. Digital gift cards from £10 to £100, delivered by email, valid across all coffee and merch on the site, with no expiry date. Gift cards are issued in the currency shown at checkout.
We run separate UK and US catalogues on one site, so you see the products, sizes and prices that apply where you are. Use the country selector in the header to switch.
Yes. Trade is handled directly rather than through the normal shop. Everything you need to know is on our Trade and Wholesale page.
