Many veteran-led groups, community projects, and grassroots organisations operate quietly behind the scenes.

They're often doing valuable work with limited resources and little recognition.

R2Bean2 exists to play a small part in helping those efforts continue through meaningful partnerships, practical support, and long-term commitment.

Ambassador: Lucy & Blue

Lucy & Blue

Firefighter Lucy Macleod and her wellbeing dog Blue represent many of the values that sit at the heart of R2Bean2: service, care, resillience, and community.

With more than sixteen years in the Fire Service, Lucy has dedicated her career to helping people through some of life's most challenging moments. Alongside her is Blue, a qualified wellbeing dog who provides comfort, reassurance, and support wherever it's needed.

Together, Lucy and Blue are the inspiration behind the Lucy & Blue book series, sharing stories based on real experiences that encourage bravery, teamwork, kindness, and compassion in young readers.

Their work reflects the same belief that drives R2Bean2: small actions can have a meaningful impact on people's lives and communities.
