R2Bean2 exists because of a simple question:
Who supports the people who are already doing the work?
This started with a conversation. I went to see a mate who was building something meaningful and asked the same thing I always ask: how are you getting on, what’s happening, and how can I help?
He told me about a project he wanted to get off the ground and needed someone to lead it. I agreed to step in and run it as a partnership, with the intention of building it properly and making it sustainable.
While I was doing my part and waiting for other pieces to fall into place, I started noticing something else. Across the veteran space, there are people and organisations doing genuinely good work. Often quietly. Often without recognition. And too often without the support or funding they need to keep going.
That’s when the question became clearer:
Who’s helping the helpers?
So, I built R2Bean2 as the answer.
Not as noise.
Not as a campaign.
As something practical.
A way for everyday purchases to contribute to the people and groups doing the work, whether that’s through direct donations, partnerships, or backing local initiatives over time.
That’s what this is.
What the name means
R2Bean2 isn’t a reference, and it isn’t a gimmick.
The first “2” represents phase two. Life after service. The next chapter. Taking everything learned and applying it with purpose.
The “R” comes from my name, Rohan, and the values that shaped me through years of service: discipline, accountability, and doing things properly even when no one is watching.
The “Bean” is simple. It’s coffee. A brew. A shared moment.
It also represents connection. One person buying a coffee, another receiving support. A small action that contributes to something bigger.
The second “2” represents continuation and collaboration. A reminder that this isn’t a solo effort, and that progress happens when people come together.
Together, R2Bean2 stands for consistency, intent, and forward movement.
